TOP-25 UNIVERSITIES OF INDIA – NIRF RANKING 2018

The Ministry of Human Resource Development released the third edition of NIRF (National Institute Ranking Framework) – 2018. The announcement was made by HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar during a program organized at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. In the NIRF Ranking, Indian Institute of Science (IISC), Bangalore secured the position of Best Institute and University with 82.16 points. On the second and third places, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi.

In addition, the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, got the position of the best engineer. For management, the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad is at the top. Miranda College has been chosen as the best college. AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) has been named the Best Medical University and National Law School of India (NLSIU) in the list of Best Law University.

HRD Minister Prakash Javarkar told the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) that about 3,954 institutions took part in the ranking this year, which was more than 800 applicants last year.
